Aamir Khan in ‘Delhi Belly’
Song: I hate you like I love you…
 In 38 years of his career, Aamir Khan has done what his audience never expected him to do!! The only thing which was missing from the ace actor and perfectionist, Aamir Khan’s profile was an item song. So he did one to surprise his fans in the recently released comedy caper ‘Delhi Belly’. It has introduced Aamir as the brand new ‘item boy’ of B-town.

Salman Khan in ‘Ready’
Song: Character Dhilla
Actor Salman Khan did an item song in his recent film ‘Ready’ that was released last month starring Asin. Actress Zarine Khan made a small cameo in the film and did the item number with Sallu too. The song was a complete package with all the elements to get the audiences wooing and shaking their booty. It topped charts for weeks and added to the fun quotient of the film.

Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Kaal’
Song: Kaal Dhamaal
Karan Johar roped in his best friend and Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan to do a dance number in `Kaal`. This chartbuster definitely added more glamour to `Kaal. The film had a galaxy of stars like Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi and John Abraham.

Hrithik Roshan in ‘Krazzy 4’

Rakesh Roshan’s home production ‘Krazzy 4’ had the title track made into an item song that had his very own son and actor Hrithik Roshan gyrating. It was Duggu’s first ever attempt at doing an item number. Hrithik as always floored audiences down with his dancing skills. The break free number also has some cool special effects to complement Hrithik’s steps.

Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Chillar Party’
Song: Tai Tai Phisss…
Ranbir Kapoor has done an item song in Salman Khan’s film ‘Chillar Party’. It is the first song that has been shot entirely against Chroma with computer generated graphics doing its magic in the background. Since it is a kids flick, having Ranbir Kapoor do an item number in it added more energy and feel to the films music and over all look.

Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Rakht’
Song: One Love
The very first “item boy” appeared only in 2004. Actor Abhishek Bachchan made a cameo appearance in the Hindi version of British boy band Blue’s song ‘One Love’ in the film ‘Rakht’. While the song, and Bachchan, tried hard to be hip, this item number proved that male actors could be utilized in this way too.

Akshay Kumar in ‘Heyy Babyy’
Song: Mast Kalandar
In 2007, director Sajid Khan had a song sequences in his film ‘Heyy Babyy’ that featured not one, but several cameos. The film opens with a song sequence where the three male leads Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, and Ritesh Deshmukh dance with a series of 15 recognizable actresses in a nightclub setting. The high point of Mast Kalandar particularly was also the presence of SRK in it!
